The Priory School’s House System encourages and fosters teamwork, participation and sportsmanship in all areas of school life. The sense of community within each of the houses encourages a feeling of identity and belonging.
All students are allocated to one of four houses
Inter House Virtual Cross Country Competition
The whole school House competition this half term is our virtual Cross Country competition.
This is an individual event and all runners will earn a house token to go towards their team’s house points.
On top of the house tokens for participating, the top 4 students in each year group will earn the following house points for their house:
1st Place = 40 Housepoints
2nd Place = 30 Housepoints
3rd Place = 20 Housepoints
4th Place = 10 Housepoints
The distance you need to run is as follows:
To submit your time you need to take a screenshot of the distance run and time taken from a running app and email to firstname.lastname@example.org
Remember to stay safe whilst doing this activity. If you are running outside on the street make sure you are following social distancing rules. You can also run with a parent or sibling.
Deadline for entry is 19th February. You can submit as many entries as you like and your best time will be counted.

Every House point you receive in lesson will also be counted towards your house teams points.
Every year group requires a house captain, one female and one male.
You will be responsible for the following…..
Making sure your house has a team entered in all competitions
Responsible for team selection (remember a complete team = house points)
Reminding students in your year what house competitions are coming up
Try and get EVERYONE INVOLVED!!!

How to apply
All students have been sent an email with a google form application.
Every half term the house with the best average attendance will also receive 40 House points.
New this year – every student whose attendance is 96% or higher will be entered into a raffle for a £5 Amazon voucher.
